1. Introduction
Likeme Tech Studio (“we”, “us”, or “our”) respects and is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy is intended to explain how we collect, use, store, share, and protect your personal information when you use the various mobile applications we develop and publish on the Google Play Store (collectively, “our Apps” or “the Apps”). Please read this Privacy Policy carefully and fully before using any of our Apps.
Our developer account includes the following categories of Apps: Video Downloader, Recover Deleted Message, Web Scanner, Data Recovery, and GPS Emulator. Because each category has different core functions, the permissions we need and the types of data we collect also differ. These are explained separately below.
2. Information We Collect
We value your privacy and only collect information to the extent necessary to provide the core functionality of the Apps. None of our Apps require you to register an account; you can use most features without providing personally identifiable information (such as name or email address).
2.1 Video Downloader
-
The core function of this App is to help you download and manage video content from the internet.
Information we collect:
-
Device information: device model and operating system version, used to optimise download compatibility.
-
Network status information: network connection type (Wi‑Fi / mobile data), used to manage download tasks and avoid unnecessary data usage.
-
Storage‑related data: the download save path you select and information about downloaded video files (all stored locally on your device).
-
We do NOT collect: your personally identifiable information, account passwords, browsing history, social media account information, etc.
2.2 Recover Deleted Message
-
The core function of this App is to help you recover deleted message content from your device notifications.
-
Information we collect:
-
Notification access‑related data: via the system’s Notification Access permission, the App can read notification content displayed in the notification bar (including sender and message body) so that it can back up and recover messages locally before they are deleted.
-
Storage‑related data: the App stores recovered message records and media file backups locally on your device.
Important notes:
-
The App cannot recover messages that were received before you installed it.
-
The App does not upload your message content to any external server; all recovered data is stored only locally on your device.
-
The App does not directly access the internal data of your chat applications (such as third‑party instant messaging apps); all recovery is based on the system notification mechanism.
2.3 Web Scanner
-
The core function of this App is to provide QR code / barcode scanning services, allowing you to quickly access web pages or perform specific operations (e.g., assisting with login to third‑party applications) by scanning QR codes.
-
Information we collect:
-
Camera‑related data: if you use the scanning feature, the App needs camera access to scan QR codes or barcodes.
-
Storage‑related data: if you choose to save scan results or screenshots, storage permission is required.
-
Network status information: used to load the web content corresponding to the scan result and to check network connectivity.
-
Device information: device model and operating system version, used for compatibility optimisation.
Important notes:
-
This App is an independently developed third‑party tool and is not affiliated with any official instant messaging software.
-
The App does not collect any of your browsing history, search keywords, or personal information entered in web forms.
-
The web content corresponding to the scan result is provided by third‑party servers; please review the privacy policies of those websites.
2.4 Data Recovery
-
The core function of this App is to help you scan and recover deleted files from your device storage (including photos, videos, audio, documents, contacts, SMS, call logs, etc.).
-
Information we collect:
-
All files access permission (MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE): this permission is essential for scanning and recovering deleted files from device storage. Without it, the App cannot access the file paths needed to recover lost data.
-
Storage permissions (READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE / WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE): used to read file data from device storage and write recovered files to the location you specify.
-
SMS permission (READ_SMS / WRITE_SMS): used to recover deleted SMS messages.
-
Call log permission (READ_CALL_LOG / WRITE_CALL_LOG): used to recover deleted call logs.
-
Contacts permission (READ_CONTACTS): used to recover deleted contact information.
Important notes:
-
All permissions are only used when you actively initiate a data recovery operation; they are not used to collect or share your personal information.
-
All scanning and recovery operations are performed locally on your device; we do not upload any of your files, SMS, contacts, etc., to any external server.
-
After the recovery operation is completed, the App does not continue to access your data in the background.
2.5 GPS Emulator
The core function of this App is to help you simulate a GPS location on your device or fuzzify your real location.
Information we collect:
-
Coarse location permission (ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION): the App needs to access your location so that it can access all location providers on your device – in particular, Google’s location services (Fused Location Provider).
-
Mock location permission (ACCESS_MOCK_LOCATION): (set in Developer Options) used to provide the system with the simulated location you set in the App.
Important notes:
-
The App never accesses your real location; it only uses the location permission for the sole purpose of providing the location you set in the App to Google’s Fused Location Provider.
-
The App does not upload your location data to any external server.
3. Summary of Permissions Used
Depending on the features of each App category, our Apps may request one or more of the following permissions. All permission requests are made via system prompts when you use the corresponding feature, and you can manage or revoke them at any time in your device’s system settings.

5. How We Use Your Data
The information we collect is used only for the following purposes:
-
Providing core functionality: e.g., downloading videos, recovering messages, scanning QR codes, recovering data, simulating location, etc.
-
Optimising App performance: by analysing usage data (e.g., feature usage frequency, crash reports) to improve stability and user experience.

Security: detecting and preventing fraud, abuse, and other security risks.
5.1 In‑App Purchases
Some apps under this developer account offer paid upgrades that unlock premium features or remove advertisements. All payment transactions are processed exclusively through Google Play’s official billing system. We do not in any way access, collect, or store your credit card numbers, billing addresses, bank account details, or any other sensitive payment information. During the payment process, Google Play may return purchase receipts (such as order IDs and product identifiers) to the app; we use these solely to grant you the corresponding service entitlements and do not retain or upload your complete payment records.
6. Data Sharing and Disclosure
6.1 Sharing with Third Parties
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal data to any third party. In the following limited circumstances, we may share data with third parties:
-
Through third‑party SDKs: as described in Section 4, integrated third‑party SDKs may collect and use data within the scope of their own terms of service and privacy policies.
-
Legal requirements: when required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, we may disclose necessary information.
6.2 Commitment to Local Processing
We solemnly commit that, except for data processed through third‑party SDKs for analytics, advertising, and crash reporting, your personal files, message content, contacts, call logs, location data, etc., are processed only locally on your device and are not uploaded to any of our servers.
7. Data Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data security:
-
Local storage: your personal content (downloaded videos, recovered messages, scanned files, etc.) is stored only on your device; we cannot access it remotely.
-
Encryption in transit: when necessary data is transmitted to third‑party SDKs, we require encryption protocols (e.g., HTTPS/TLS) to protect data during transmission.
-
Minimum permission principle: we request only the minimum permissions necessary to provide core functionality.
8. Data Retention and Deletion
8.1 Data Retention
Because our Apps run primarily locally, most data (e.g., downloaded videos, recovered message records, scan results) is stored locally on your device. We do not retain your personal content on our servers.
Data collected through third‑party SDKs (e.g., device identifiers, crash logs) will be retained according to the data retention policies of the respective SDK providers.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us via the information in Section 12.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by posting a notice within the App or by updating the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page.
